FRIM DG launches ‘Teratak Roslan’
13 July 2020 (Monday) – FRIM Director General (DG) Datuk Dr Abd Latif Mohmod launched the ‘Teratak Roslan’ cabin which he contributed personally to serve as an office for the Urban Forestry Branch (UF) staff involved in the health assessment as well as maintenance of hazardous trees and ornamental landscape plants on 9 July.
The cabin was named ‘Teratak Roslan’ to commemorate the service and dedication of the late Roslan Abdul Rahman.

The late Roslan, 53, a former UF staff who had served for almost 35 years at FRIM. He passed away on 2 January 2020. He was a diligent and committed staff. Among the projects in which he was involved included ‘Airport in the Forest KLIA’, the urban forest park at Mutiara Rini, Johor Bharu and landscape project at the National Zoo Malaysia.
In appreciation of his dedication and commitment at work, he was awarded the FRIM Individual Excellent Service Awards in 2008 and 2016 as well as the DG Award (Group) in 2014.
His passing was a huge loss to UF in particular and to FRIM in general.

“May the late Roslan inspire other FRIM staff, especially among the younger generation to continue serving FRIM and the country tirelessly like he did right until the end of life. May Allah SWT shower blessings upon his soul,” said Abd Latif.
Also present were Forestry and Environment Director Dr Ismail Parlan, Administration Director Liza Ismail, Ecotourism and Urban Forest Programme Head Dr Noor Azlin Yahya, UF Head Ahmad Azaruddin Mohd Noor, Corporate Communication Head Toh An Nee as well as Development and Maintenance Branch Head Sharifudden Samin.
