UNIQUE PLACES
Located near the Sekolah Kebangsaan FRIM at Jalan Kapur, the wetland area of FRIM used to be a tin mining pool and vegetable farms. Today, it is a habitat for various species of flora and fauna. It is home to birds like the white-breasted waterhen (Amaurornis phoenicurus). Other fauna that can be spotted here are monitor lizards, frogs, leeches and numerous species of insects. Unlike other wetland areas, a plantation forest, a nursery and the fruit tree arboretum fringes the wetland area in FRIM.
All visitors must abide by the rules and regulations stated in the FRIM Visitors’ Guide.
