15 January 2018 (Monday) – Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM) Director General (DG) Dato’ Dr Abd Latif Mohmod announced the appointment of Dr Khali Aziz Hamzah as the new FRIM Deputy DG (Operations) at the institute’s first monthly assembly on 10 January.

He also announced the promotion of Dr Nor Azah Mohamad Ali who headed the Herbal Products Development Programme since 1 March 2009 as the new Natural Products Division Director.

The Deputy DG (Operations) post was previously held by Datuk Dr Rahim Sudin who retired late last year.

At the assembly, Abd Latif presented the Laboratory Accreditation Scheme of Malaysia Certificates to laboratory representatives as well as the ISO 9001:2015 Certificates to various division directors.

Among others, he also presented certificates to the directors of divisions which had successfully reduced consumption of electricity and water.

In conjunction with this, FRIM staff took the pledge to perform their duties with integrity.

Also present, FRIM Deputy DG (Research) Dr Ismail Harun and other top management officials.

FRIM Human Resource Division also announced today the promotion of Liza Ismail as the new Administration Division Director and Toh An Nee as the Communication Corporate Head. This round of promotions took effect on 1 January 2018.
