FRIM gets Special Security Protection Award 2014

Special Security Protection Award 2014

8 March 2016 (Tuesday) – Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM) received a four-star (good) rating in the Special Security Protection Award 2014, organised by the Chief Government Security Office of the Prime Minister’s Department.

The award presentation ceremony was officiated by the Chief Secretary to the Government, Tan Sri Dr Ali Hamsa at the Perdana Putra Building in Putrajaya on 4 January.

The award aims at increasing the level of security protection involving secrets and assets of the government at all ministries, departments and government agencies.

A total of 197 government agencies ranging from federal departments, statutory bodies, federal departments and state-level departments under the state administration had been selected to participate in the Special Security Protection Award 2014 programme. Of this, 10 government agencies received five-star (excellent) rating.
