KeTSA Deputy Minister visits FRIM
20 July 2020 (Monday) – The Deputy Minister of Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources (KeTSA), Ali Biju, conducted his first visit to Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM) on 17 July.
He was accompanied by KeTSA Biodiversity Management and Forestry Principal Assistant Secretary Sharmida Alia Sariff as well as other ministry officers.

The Deputy Minister was greeted by FRIM Director General (DG) Datuk Dr Abd Latif Mohmod, Deputy DG (Operations) Dr Khali Aziz Hamzah, Deputy DG (Research) Dato’ Dr Marzalina Mansor and other FRIM management officials.
Abd Latif gave a briefing on FRIM’s background, areas of research, the importance and contributions of FRIM research as well as the Institute’s future direction to Ali at the Licuala Meeting Room.

The Deputy Minister also visited the FRIM research exhibition held at the Auditorium foyer and the programme concluded with the planting of a belian (Eusideroxylon zwageri) tree to commemorate the special occasion.
