3 September 2018 (Monday) – Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM) has organised Workshop on Herbal Exploration at Your Fingertips, themed ‘Expanding Industry Networks and Business Opportunities’ on 29 August.

The workshop held at the Garcinia and Morinda Rroom was officiated by FRIM Deputy Director General (Operations) Dr Khali Aziz Hamzah. Also present, Research Planning Director Dr Nur Supardi Md Noor.

The aim of the workshop was to introduce the ‘HerbaXpress’ mobile application as well as to collect feedbacks from the participants. The application serves as a portal that links herbal industry players so that information related to the industry can be obtained easily and rapidly.

The workshop co-organised by FRIM Economic and Strategic Analysis Programme (EAS), Information Technology Branch (ICT) as well as Innovation and Commercialisation Division was attended by 41 participants comprising FRIM staff, herbal industry representatives and government agencies.

EAS Officer Ariff Fahmi Abu Bakar presented the topic ‘Introduction to HerbaXpress Mobile Application’ while the Founder of Satu Solution Corporate Services, Tuanbri Hashim talked about ‘Business: Online Marketing’.
