18 December 2018 (Tuesday) – Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM) recreational pass and car stickers for 2019 will be available for application and renewal at the FRIM Facility Unit counters starting 3 January 2019.

For renewal, applicants will only need to bring their old pass and make payment at the counter. New applicants have to bring along one passport-sized photograph, fill out the forms (borang permohonan pas riadah and/ or permohonan pelekat kenderaan) and make payment. Only Malaysian citizens are eligible to apply.

Notices on the pass renewal have been put up at several strategic locations.	A visitor enjoying a morning run at FRIM.

The Facility Unit counters, located next to the Cafeteria in Block F3, will open from 8.30am to 12.30pm and from 2.30pm to 4.30pm, Monday to Thursday; from 8.30am to 11.30am and 3.00pm to 5.00pm on Friday. It will also be open on Saturday and Sunday throughout January 2019 from 8.30 am to 12.30 pm.

The annual charges will remain as follows:

• Recreational Pass for each individual below the age of 60: RM40;
• Recreational Pass for each student/senior citizen/pensioner: RM20;
• Recreational Pass for family (husband, wife and children below 18): RM 70; and
• Sports Pass (for those who regularly use the FRIM badminton, squash or tennis courts): RM 20.

FRIM’s opening hours for visitors will be from 5.30am to 7.30 am and 8.30am to 7.00 pm daily. Visitors are not allowed to enter the campus after 6.30pm and they are required to leave by 7.00pm, unless they have the special permission of the FRIM Director General.

There are also bicycles for visitors to rent at FRIM.
