FRIM-YKMAM co-organise ‘Run for Humanity’

26 February 2019 (Tuesday) – Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM) and Yayasan Kemanusiaan Muslim Aid Malaysia (YKMAM) will co-organise #RunforHUMANITY at Kepong Botanic Gardens in FRIM on 16 March (Saturday).

The run is held in conjunction with FRIM’s International Day of Forests (IDF) and YKMAM’s 10thAnniversary celebrations.

The programme aims at promoting healthy lifestyles as well as public awareness on the importance of forest and environmental conservation, particularly among the youth. The run is also organised to raise funds for the underprivileged among the local and refugee communities.

Members of the public, residents of Kepong and Gombak as well as students from local and refugee schools are encouraged to participate in the event.

The run is expected to attract 700–1000 participants in two categories, Category A: 5 km for men and women; and Category B: 3 km Fun Run. Entries are open to everyone aged seven years to 70 years. Children under 12 should be accompanied by their parent or guardian.

The registration fee for Category A is RM65 per person, while for Category B, RM45. Promotional fee for group registration (five pax) is RM310 for Category A and RM210, Category B.

Each participant will receive a T-shirt, a finisher medal, voucher from Ultron, a bag and light breakfast.
