SPF Mata Ayer receives occupational safety award
18 October 2016 (Tuesday) – The Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM) Research Station in Mata Ayer (SPF Mata Ayer) has received an award for excellence in occupational safety and health for the public sector category from the Perlis State Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) recently.

The certificate of appreciation from the Perlis State DOSH.
The award in the form of a certificate of appreciation was presented by the State DOSH Director, Rukairulaizamm Ab Rahman to the SPF Mata Ayer Manager, Ahmad Fauzi Mohd Shariff at the award ceremony in Kuala Perlis, on 13 October.
There were 10 recipients from government agencies and private sector (small and medium enterprises) at the ceremony. The award was given in recognition of compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) 1994; Factories and Machinery Act; and the relevant regulations.

The objective of the award is to establish a 1Malaysia workforce with extensive knowledge of the culture of safety and health.
Also present at the event were the State DOSH Deputy Director, Mohamad Azrul Abd Malek and FRIM Research Assistant, Zainol Abu.
